UPDATE: The board took no action Thursday as it continues to investigate the case.

The Boston Licensing Board on Thursday considers whether to take any action against Prestige Cuisine, 924 Morton St., after a BPD detective said an investigation - started after patrons were shot at as they left around 4:30 one March morning - showed an owner was opening up the basement for a nightclub at 2 a.m. Read more.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Teranga has apparently resolved its issues with the state and is planning on being open this weekend.

UPDATE, 12/2: Restaurant to re-open.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the state has seized Teranga in the South End for non-payment of taxes.

Don't worry, there's still West African food in Boston, if not specifically Senegalese - at Suya Joint in Roxbury.

The sign at the African Cuisine on Hyde Park Avenue is still up, but all the tables are gone and mail is piling up on the other side of the mail slot. Also, the door was locked.
