The crowd chanted "They say cut back, We say fight back" before the speakers came to the podium.

Congressman Ed Markey addressed the crowd to remind them what caused the financial crisis (and it wasn't public public sector workers.) Next, Congressman Mike Capuano announced, "I am a cheesehead" to communicate his solidarity with the working people of Wisconsin fighting for the right to bargain collectively for wages, benefits and work conditions. Mike foretold of similar attacks on worker rights by Republicans soon to come in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He said it was a fight for the middle class.

QUINCY — The race for the 10th Congressional District of Massachusetts is a close one in an election that many view as pivotal. Norfolk District Attorney William Keating is running to succeed retiring fellow Democrat Rep. William Delahunt. Hoping to tip the scales in Keating’s favor, Vice President Biden appeared today at a rally in Quincy alongside fellow prominent party members including John Kerry and Vicki Kennedy.

Deb Geisler explains why she's glad her congressman is John Tierney instead of Ed Markey: Unlike Markey, Tierney didn't get the FBI to seize some guy's computer (at 2 in the morning) for pointing out a security flaw in the way some airlines print out their tickets - a flaw that noted radical Charles Schumer had pointed out a few months ago.

Markey kinda, sorta apologizes for sic'ing the FBI on the guy.
