Is the Democratic state party trying to do to Deval Patrick what it did to Scott Harshbarger? If so, will that be enough to overcome the Mihos factor and get Kerry Healey elected governor?
Mass. Marrier is discouraged, pointing to a recent rules "interpretation" that will make it easier for candidate-come-lately Chris Gabrieli to get on the September ballot as an alternative to the faltering Tom Reilly:
So Chris Gabrieli might run after all - for governor.
Sco on .08 Acres ponders how a Gabrieli run (assuming he could get 15% at the Democratic state convention) would affect the fall primary:
Over on Blue Mass. Group, David's thinking not so hot when it comes to the idea of Tom Reilly annointing local rich guy Chris Gabrieli as his designated lieutenant governor nominee. Some of you may remember Gabrieli as doing not all that much to help Shannon O'Brien get elected four years ago:
... Maybe someone can explain to me why (aside from the money) Gabrieli is such a superior candidate to Deb Goldberg, Andrea Silbert, Tim Murray, and Sam Kelley - personally, I don't see it. ...
