Construction workers hit a high-pressure two-inch gas main on Temple Street shortly before 10:30 a.m. The Boston Fire Department has shut the street until National Grid can turn off the gas.

A judge in West Roxbury Municipal Court today ordered Nathurlon Munnerlyn (right) to Bridgewater State Hospital for a mental-health evaluation, at his arraignment on charges he stabbed Brian Sweeney to death in Sweeney's home on Temple Street in West Roxbury on Nov. 19, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire at 11 Temple St., off Cambridge, sent one firefighter to the hospital with a hand injury.
The fire, reported at 12:10 a.m., displaced between 20 and 25 residents - none injured - and caused an estimated $750,000 in damage.

Mike Davis took in the Shamrock Shootout this morning on Temple Street in West Roxbury - which officially opened this year with a face off between Mayor Walsh and Gov. Baker, officiated by Richie Gormley, the lord mayor of West Roxbury.
Then it was down to business for hundreds of local kids in a series of age-based street-hockey tourneys that stretched for several blocks.
