Jonah explores Villa Mexico, a burrito stand built into Grampy's Gas Station on Cambridge Street, across from MGH. He concludes:

[Y]ou will have a hard time finding a better grilled burrito in Boston than the one served at Villa Mexico.

The new Chipotle in Harvard Square gave away free burritos today. Dirty Water took photos of the line, which at times was three blocks long. In the cold and rain. For burritos.

With our neighborhoods increasingly overrun by bank branches, it must count as a minor victory that only half of the former CVS store abandoned when the pharmacy moved across the street is a bank.

The other half is a shiny new branch of the Chipotle chain. They were giving out free burritos at their official opening yesterday. When I rode by at about 6, the line was out-the-door and down to the corner by the Store24.

Eeka notes a recent 25-cent increase but says the chain could have avoided the increase by turning its thermostats up:

... The past three times I've been in a Boloco, it's been around 65-75 degrees outside and about 50 degrees inside the Boloco. I've sat there freezing my ass off. ...
