Boston in 2022: Storrowing
Will they ever learn? Nope. 2022 was, like all the years before it, filled with the sounds of bonking and screeeeeching as truck drivers learned, again, why there are "CARS ONLY" signs at all the more fashionable on ramps to the river roads. The lucky few managed to stop in time, then did the backup of shame. And storrowing is a game any bridge (or tunnel) can play, even if well away from the holy storrowing trinity of Storrow and Memorial drives and Soldiers Field Road.

England's version of Storrowing
Storrowing is an international phenomenon as well.
The New York Times has a story about a British railroad bridge that is their Storrowing champion. The bridge has been struck by cars and tucks more than 33 times in a year.
