Surveillance photo of fleeing suspect via BPD.

Boston Police report a USPS letter carrier was robbed at gunpoint by a guy in a black ski mask at Talbot and Welles avenues in Dorchester around 5:40 p.m.

Police say the gunman demanded the letter carrier's "mail key" for opening mailboxes on his route. He was described as light-skinned, Hispanic, thin and wearing a dark-colored hoodie and gray sweatpants.

He ran down Talbot Avenue towards Washington Street, police say.

I don't trust using U.S. Mail. Stolen, thrown away in dumpsters, neighbor down street getting my mail, in a bag for weeks in a trunk, different guys delivering mail in the dark and sifting through the box then throwing the bag back in the box, yeah. I knew shit wasn't right.

come up with a digital lock system.
The key the carriers use opens every blue and green box as well as banks of mailboxes in apartment buildings.
It's logistically impossible to change every lock in the region.

Because of scumbags like this guy,

Dumb ass robbed a federal worker, the FEDS are much better at getting convictions.
It's too bad the TWO Police officers watching the Feeny Brothers laying some pipes a block over didn't catch wind of the robbery..

That walk through neighborhoods weekly, know the kids as well as those the people that are hanging around the neighborhood and be able to help prevent or catch criminals by having a closer relationship with the community.

And judges, hold people accountable !
