Boston Police report officers keeping an eye on the Reservation Road skate park due to recent community complaints arrested a Randolph man on gun and drug charges on Tuesday.

[T]hey observed the suspects vehicle parked in the skate park lot and a second vehicle pull into the lot and the two conducted what appeared to be a transaction. Upon stopping both parties the officers learned that the suspect had sold the party marijuana. Upon conducting a stop on the suspect and vehicle and further investigating the officers gave the suspect an exit order and upon conducting a frisk discovered a black firearm in a fanny pack along with a duffle bag containing several packages of marijuana packaged for distribution. The firearm was determined to be a Springfield Armory XD 40 Caliber pistol, loaded with 7 rounds in the magazine capable of holding 12 rounds, and 1 round in the chamber.

Jahzyme Richardson, 23, was arrested on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a large-capacity feeding device, illegal possession of ammunition, illegal possession of a firearm during a felony and distribution of marijuana, police say.

Innocent, etc.

I had to wait around street corners for the Man to come by. Those were the days.

Why are people still dealing illegal weed? Are they able to underprice legal weed?

Yes. Why do I need the state to be a middle man for me, anyway?

Selling to minors or people otherwise without ID. That's it; the economics of it simply don't work out otherwise when you can go to the dispo and grab an oz for $100 -- the legal market is now cheaper than the black market used to be. All my old weed dealers have quit.

Now again, and louder, this time, for people in government.

Is it less expensive than the legal stuff, or somehow perceived to be better? Or were the buyers here underage?

It is less expensive and there's not a 20% tax on it.

No way can my old dealer get me an 1/8th under 18 bucks.

No way I can buy an ounce for under 150 from my guy.

Price/no tax, availability, selection choices, volume, you can easily couple with other party favor orders for grandma and plus it's just nice having someone reliable that you can text and have delivery within a reasonable time frame.

At least that's what I'm told ..... hehe

If you look at the picture, you will see numerous packages marked with names of commercial, i.e. legal, weed companies, or of names of particular strains, which are more or less brands. Strane, myhi, Cereal Runtz, Strawberry Gelato. Apparently they are reselling legal weed, presumably to minors, or possibly to people so stoned that they haven't yet figured out that it's legal now.

Thanks BPD!

Another one gets modified and circulated. Which, I fear, outpaces the number of guns confiscated in arrests.

I'm not clear as to why "Guns exist" isn't given more weight when solutions are considered for how to reduce gun violence.

it sucks that we can't have safe spaces in the city. Thanks for making this bust BPD.

This dude wasn’t selling drugs to your kid.

He was packing ... and selling drugs to others.

The real problem here is the war on drugs made selling a plant criminal offense. If these laws weren’t in place the underground market wouldn’t exist. Drug dealers carry guns because you can’t call to cops when a drug deal goes south.

When was the last time you saw this headline and lol BPD spread about people selling bottles of rum in a parking lot?
I’ll wait…

He selling stuff other than weed. Anyone who thinks being a dealer like him is engaged in a harmless endeavor need to wake up.

You want legal weed to be the norm, don't put an f'ing 20% taxing it. It's very overpriced. And many "pot shops" are located in areas with high rents. That's also, among other things, passed down to the consumer
