Oy, the dream is dead: No kosher hotel in West Roxbury
By adamg on Thu, 11/19/2015 - 9:13am
An alert UHub reader noticed the guy who said he wanted to build a hotel catering to observant Jews on VFW Parkway in West Roxbury (where the burned-out McDonald's used to be) sold the property yesterday for $1.4 million to the owner of a Brockton gas station and car wash. The BRA's King David Hotel page is now gone, although you can still see the initial filing for the project.

Doubt it'll become a carwash
Since there is one literally across the street. I don't know that a gas station there would necessarily be a big hit, unless they get Prime to fill all their cars there. My vote is for a 99 restaurant.
Seconded!
:)
Bring back....
.....oh how I wish they would rebuild Fontaines in that spot!! They could even put out a new flick'n chick'n!
Yeah, well....
For most of my life, this was a McDonald's with another McDonald's literally across the street. People hate U-turns :)
There was a car wash on that
There was a car wash on that side of the street...........
this was never a good idea
next time, try somewhere in Brighton, Brookline, or Newton that's actually within walking distance of synagogues and kosher stores and restaurants?
