Globe promises to deliver Sunday paper one of these days
By adamg on Sun, 09/10/2017 - 1:24pm
Looks like the Globe is continuing to have a spot of trouble with its new Taunton printing presses:
Due to production problems the paper may be delivered at any point throughout the day or on Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We must be one of the lucky ones
We got our Sunday paper this morning (and with all the sections, even).
Muchas otras problemas también!
Last night their internets died or rebooted, eliminating all the comments for the last 3 hours or so.
Linda Pizzutti es perfecto a 'managing director of Boston Globe'
Viva nepotismo !!!
half of paper delivered
Herald delivered on time, was even today's paper, not Fri/Sat editions. mirabile dictu. got half of the Globe, the back sections which are printed days ahead, along with the ads. no front, metro or sports. went to their website for the delivery credit. later in the morning, the front section appeared.
I got my Sunday paper at noon
I got my Sunday paper at noon today. Normally the delivery guy would be dropping it on my doorstep around 8AM.

Came on time with the
Came on time with the sections printed ahed of time in one bag and severely smudged front/metro/sports in another bag.
Copy I picked up in
Copy I picked up in Somerville today was the bulldog 3-star edition- Granted, there's other ways to get sports scores, etc.- but was in NY area last week and was shocked at how some of the papers based in the NJ suburbs had similarly early bedtimes
GLOBE
God BLess John Henry, first he couldn't deliver the damn thing, now he can't print it. Getting to be worse than the TT
Hey JH
In case you haven't figured it out. Yawkey way is the least of your problems.
Trying to be heroic in changing names of streets instead of business at hand is not working.
Cut JH Some Slack
He bought two of the major institutions that make Boston what it is. And leaves the management to professionals, without much interference.
.
The Globe, in particular, is a dubious financial investment. Did you notice that the New York Daily News sold recently for $1 -- yup, ONE DOLLAR.
The Red Sox have been consistent contenders/winners under his ownership.
Huh?
He installed his wife, who has absolutely zero qualifications, as managing director. No slack given.
Still haven't gotten mine, in Somerville
It was supposed to have been delivered with today's Monday paper, but wasn't. Since this contains the Fall Preview arts section which is intended to be kept and used for the next three months, I'd really like to have it.
Boston Globe Executive Director of Circulation
peter.doucette at globe.com might be Executive Director of Circulation for The Boston Globe http://archive.boston.com/business/articles/2009/12/22/globe_announces_t...
Are you sure?
That article is 7 years old. They've gone through well known distribution changes since, and now this. I would image that wherever Peter Doucette is, he's laughing his behind off on a daily basis at what has happened to the Globe's distribution system.
