Good news for ampersand fans who like to drink

The Playwright Bar, 658 E. Broadway in South Boston, is changing its name to the Punk & Poet.
Owner Joe Arcari told the Boston Licensing Board this morning that other than the name and some cosmetic fixes, he won't be changing anything.
There's also good news for fans of local rock formations. Curtin's Roadside Tavern, 1592 Tremont St. on Mission Hill, which changed its name to the Puddingstone, in homage to the locally famous type of rock a couple years ago, is officially changing its name to that on its city filings.
