Boats go up in flames in Charlestown
The Boston Fire Department reports three boats caught on fire at the Constitution Marina around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
The department estimates damage at $1 million, and says two boats sank. There were no injuries, and the cause remains under investigation.
Both the BFD and Massport harbor units responded to the fire - and used both water and foam against the fire. BFD firefighters also fought the blaze from trucks on the North Washington Street bridge.

Saw this!
I was dropping a client off by the Navy Yard and we saw all the hub-bub as we crossed the bridge. I guessed that I was at the marina rather than the hotel and he said "yup, that's where I need to go." I dropped him off in the spot where it was the furthest I could proceed and the ways towards the hotel and Constitution Road were blocked off by the gendarmerie.
