Walking peanut-butter cup sought for Harvard Square mayhem

Wanted for Harvard Square violence

Cambridge Police report they are looking for a guy in an orange Reese's hoodie for various acts of violence and threats to do violence in Harvard Square on May 29.

The suspect threatened to slit the throat of one victim and attempted to strangle another. The suspect also used a small knife to stab one of the victim’s tires, before punching him in the face. The subject also used a bike lock in an attempt to strike the victim. The subject eventually fled through Harvard Square to Appian Way, where he used the bike lock to damage the windshield of at least two parked vehicles.

If he looks familiar, contact Det. Ali at 617-349-3300.

Why did it take almost a month to start looking for this guy?

They've been looking for him for a month but have run out of leads to pursue and so are now asking for the public's help.

...but what would be the downside of enlisting the public's help from the start? If nothing else, people would know there's a bad guy out there and what he looks like.

I will be relieved when these Harvard students go home for the summer,
