Old guy stomps even older guy in dispute over a bag at Park Street T stop, police say
Transit Police report arresting a 66-year-old Holbrook man on charges he punched an 80-year-old-man to the floor and then kept kicking and punching him in a dispute over a bag both men claimed, around 10 a.m. on Friday.
Police say the older of the two spotted James Walsh, 66, with what he thought was his bag on a Green Line platform and demanded that Walsh hand it over. They began to argue.
Ultimately the victim alleged Walsh struck him with a closed fist knocking him to the ground then proceeded to punch and kick the victim several more times about his head and body. A concerned citizen pulled Walsh away from the victim and TPD officers arrived.
Walsh was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - a shod foot. The victim was taken to a local hospital for care.
Innocent, etc.
