Always looking out for the tax payer, Meredith Management Corp is claiming that Yawkey station should be closed for a year to help with construction, saying:
“I want to deliver the station as quickly and as inexpensively for the state and the taxpayers,” said Rosenthal. "But if Yawkey stations open, crews would have to toil for three years, driving up the T’s tab,"

Of course, this directly contradicts the company's environmental review documents which say (multiple times)
The construction of the Yawkey Station Phase is projected to begin in mid-2010 with an
estimated completion date towards the end of 2011. Commuter rail operation will be
maintained throughout construction of the station improvements.

I wonder, why is the state paying for anything? Shouldn't the company erecting a 1,290 space parking garage have to pay to mitigate the damage these thousands of new cars will do to the neighborhood?

Sheesh can anyone get anything done in Boston without a resident squaking,, man close it down get the work done and start on that beautiful skyscraper/ landmark called Fenway center,, this city that was once hustling and bustling of the 50's,, and now the residents are holding the city back,, every person that's squaking is older,,, Boston needs to get younger,, Boston needs a few 500ft towers to even catch up to alot of medium size cities,, embarrassing
