Bob Lobel recovering from multiple back surgeries

Westborough News interviews Lobel and one of the people in charge of his rehab on learning to walk again after several surgeries for spinal stenosis. Breaking his leg in four places in the middle of rehab didn't help.

For the past few years that I'd ever seen Lobel on the air, he appeared grumpy as hell, pissed off and all. He also seemed to be under the influence...of something.
Now I can give him the benefit of the doubt that his back was killing him and he was on pain killers.
Get well Bob and get back on the air soon--nothing takes the sting out of a N.E. sports team loss than to see your reaction and commentary on the late news. (yes, for some reason I only seem to recall late night sportscasters' comments after a loss)
