Wicked Local Roslindale reports Councilor Steve Murphy is definitely running for state treasurer. This time around, he'd first have to defeat Steve Grossman to take on a Republican for the right to succeed Tim Cahill, who is himself trying to move up.

Kenneally can shave and lose weight; McPhee will always have a voice that can take paint off the wall.

I was listening to McPhee's show too the other night and she said nothing of the sort. She was complaining that frauds like William Lantigua get elected (two jobs) over better and more educated candidates like Kenneally. Sounds to me like you were either hearing something or have a gripe with Kenneally.

If you were really listening, then you heard her throw Kenneally under the bus by announcing to the world on her show that Kenneally can't for the life of God find a job. Go back and listen to her show. I'm sure it's on the internet. The crazy thing is that other city council candidates are jobless too. That guy Trabucco just got fired as an ambulance driver in Dorchester. For what, who knows?
why people don't get involved
People wonder why good people don't get involved in politics. Andy Kenneally runs,
he doesn't win, he talks about issues, doesn't do anything disgraceful and what does he get??
A radio personality makes fun of him on air??? WTF?
So what if he grew a beard?
Many people don't have jobs.
Many of us have weight problems, I know I'd like to lose a few.
What does he do to deserve that? This type of nastiness is why
decent people don't want anything to do with this system. Martha Coakley
gets mocked on Saturday Night Live?? Ouch.
