Zoning board approves replacement for Charlesview apartments in Allston

Note: Headline changed because the BRA approved the proposal last month; this month was the zoning board's turn.

The Boston Business Journal reports on the BRA's zoning commission's approval to tear down the current project and replace it elsewhere in Allston.

The BRA Board already voted this approval unanimously last month. And Harry's dog shit on his kitchen floor.

Why did they vote on it again yesterday?

Answer: the article is screwed up. The Boston Zoning Commission voted Thursday to approve the project, not the "Boston Redevelopment Authority Zoning Commission" as the article says. (Sure, the Zoning Commission's office is embedded within the BRA's offices in City Hall, but I digress...) Doesn't the Boston Business Journal know the names of these agencies/commissions?

Adam: Wanna fix the headline?

Harvard wants to move Charlesview in order to expand into Allston -- but they've just removed the 'Harvard in Allston' exhibit room in Holyoke Center, which makes me wonder how committed they are to the project. This room is where Harvard was showing off its plans to the community, and its walls were covered with drawings and plans. It is now just bare walls, chairs, and tables.
