Which might explain why he sent fundraising e-mails to state legislators's government addresses, which is, oh, what's the word? Oh, right, illegal.
Just a database mistake, Treasurer Tim's PR person says.

wow stop the presses lol. didn't stuff a bribe under his shirt, didn't redraw district lines to help him win reelection and didn't take thousands in return for a contract with a software company. Now why would RedMass focus on little Timmy, hmmm?

Perhaps flouting the law and being perpetually ignorant of relevant facts is considered a decent strategy to win the Scott Brown voters. Sort of rebellious in an adolescent kind of way, like posing nude for Cosmo.
Then again, if something's illegal but there's no real penalty for doing it- hey, why not?
