Scott Brown uses UH post to scare up new campaign funds

An obscure political journal down in Washington reports that Mr. Pink Leather Pants is using this UH post about the draft-Maddow campaign to squeeze even more money out of the out-of-state Republicans who made his campaign richer than God helped him across the finish line this year:

Rachel Maddow has a nightly platform to push her far-left agenda. What about you? I'd like to encourage ordinary American citizens concerned about the future of their country to get more involved in our government. I hope you were encouraged by my victory to become more politically active, maybe even become a candidate for office yourself. We can continue to push our movement forward by running for office, joining in rallies and petitions that challenge President Obama and Nancy Pelosi's healthcare legislation, supporting campaigns against the tax-and-spenders or by donating time and money to office-holders and candidates who will restore the principles of our founders. ...

and still he's pushing all the buttons "far-left agenda" "ordinary Americans" "challenge President Obama and Nancy Pelosi's healthcare legislation" "tax-and-spenders" that will motivate reactionaries like himself to donate to his campaign so he can buy gobs of TV ads and buy a re-election bid.

Who will explain to these fools (who will so easily part with their money) that the "far-left agenda" is less liberal than Nixon's health care proposal forty years ago, and almost exactly like the MA health bill that he supported???... that progressive voters are ordinary Americans too, that the ship has sailed on health reform and talk of repealing it is a fools errand that will only separate fools from their disposable income.

Every conservative appeal for funds is a manipulative dig pushing all the buttons raised by conservative entertainment industry - Rush, Beck, O'Reilly, etc.

Does Scott Brown offer just one idea about what proactive initiative he wants to get behind and make happen?

I hope this kind of appeal works for his base becuase it certainly doesn't work for independents.

So my daily call to Scott Brown's office is currently:

"I am a constituent from Scituate who strongly supports Health Care reform and would like you to forward my opinion to Sen. Brown. Please remind Sen. Brown that voting against reconciliation amendments will HURT Massachusetts. Additionally, please let Sen. Brown know that I am disappointed in his lack of a constituent communication email address."

and I now feel compelled to add this nugget on:

"Finally, please let Sen. Brown know that I respectfully request that he keep his money-grubbing hands off of Adam's bandwidth."

Do you see any reason why UHub shouldn't use Scott Brown to sell UHub swag?

That Maddow was going to talk about the draft-Maddow movement, Walshgate and Brown's fundraising e-mail. Did anybody actually watch her show tonight? I admit I was too busy watching Lost and getting disappointed at seeing commercials with Sulu hawking TVs or something.

You know..where the lesbians all live. Now that Brown has been marginalized by the HCR bill passing and he knows that he only has a short time before his 15 minutes are up, nothing like fear of the gays to bring in the moron money.
