Boston Police report arresting a South Boston man and two suburbanites on charges they tried to snare somebody they thought was a 15-year-old girl online into having sex with them for a fee.

The girl, in fact, turned out to be some Boston Police officers engaged in an online sting. Snared: John Caputo, 63, of South Boston, Daniel Klim, 38, of Cambridge and John Nguyen, 24, of Randolph in online discussions that led the three to believe the "girl" was amenable to getting paid for sex:

The suspects, after making contact with officers posing as a 15 year girl, knowingly agreed to meet with the alleged 15 year old with the intent of engaging in various sexual activities. The suspects made contact with the undercover officers posing as a15 year old girl set up a time and place to meet.

Officers established surveillance after getting identifying information about the suspects and once they arrived at the meeting location were stopped and placed under arrest.

The three were charged with soliciting sex for a fee and enticement of a minor, police say.
