Can a headline ask a question that isn't answered in the story?

Ripped from today's Herald: Are 'Joe for Oil' ads lubricating Joe III's run?

Perfectly valid question to ask, but nowhere does the story suggest that Joe4Oil has suddenly ramped up his omnipresent ads now that his kid is thinking of running for Congress, although it does note he's been thanking the people of Venezuela on TV for years now.

Many unanswered questions from the Herald piece. I've noticed an explosion of Joe for Oil ads recently and although I've noticed some every year, it seems rather late in the heating season to begin running so many of them. I'm already on my second and hopefully last tank of oil for the season. I'd like to know if the ad blitz was timed to coincide with "Conan's" announcement.

Do the TV stations still run free PSA's and is Joe For Oil one of them? If not, how much money that could be spent on oil for the poor is being spent to promote the Kennedy's each year? Joe II should be paying out of pocket, given the trust fund and his embarrassing $600,000 salary at the "non-profit".

Lastly, is Joe III the kid that Joe II nearly killed with the illegal fireworks down the Cape some years ago or is this a different kid?

are January, February and the start of March. Also the months where space heaters might not cut it anymore, and typically the months where house fires spike from unadvised bootstrappy heating methods.

It's not surprising these ads would be targeted to these months.

As for the rest, no idea.

Venezuela's poor people don't want his thanks. They want their national oil company to sell THEIR OIL for as much money as possible to benefit them. The oil given to Joe4Oil by Chavez has been stolen one country's poor people to give to another's poor people for political purposes.

Socialism.

Shouldn't that oil be in the hands of benevolent capitalists?

An outspoken republican once said to me in an outraged tone of voice, 'can you believe that Kennedy is giving away oil to the poor?'

Have to admit I was stunned. Maybe he thought people were only poor because they were too lazy to work? So, I asked him if he thought that poor elderly who were in frail health and therefore couldn't work should just freeze to death. His reply was that they should have planned their retirement better. No compassion. Sad.

Why pay for anything or save any money if someone is always going to step in and pay for you?

True. And while we're on the topic, it's the goddamn 21st century already, scientists. Where the hell are the euthanasia booths and how's that soylent green formula coming along? Step it up, eggheads!
