Man charged with Burrell Street murder; suspect was also involved in Chiara Levin case

Boston Police report charging Jason Barbosa, 23, with the shooting death of Anthony DePina, 24, on Burrell Street in Roxbury on Thursday.

DePina, 24, was found in front of 93 Burrell St. and pronounced dead at the scene.

In 2007, Barbosa was shot in the shoulder in the opening salvo of gunfire at a Dorchester house party that left visiting Kentucky college student Chiara Levin dead. At the time, prosecutors described Barbosa as a member of the Woodward Street gang.
