Two found dead at South Boston fire
UPDATE: Channel 5 reports the two were found with stab wounds.
The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters battling a one-alarm fire at the D Street housing project early this morning found the bodies of a man and a woman.
The fire, at 4 Linsky Barry Ct., was reported shortly before 3 a.m. The fire was confined to a single third-floor apartment and did roughly $50,000 in damage, the department says.
Both victims were declared dead at the scene, the department says, adding police and the DA's office are now investigating.
This is Boston's second fatal fire this year. In January, another single-apartment fire killed a man at Colombia Point.
In 2008, two South Boston girls died when their mother's lover set their apartment on fire after a fight.
