Harbor not under bombardment tonight

The Boston Fire Department alerts us, and so we alert you, that a private party will be shooting fireworks up over Boston Harbor from Fan Pier between 10 and 11 tonight.

Last Thursday night, August 22, I was part of the Boston Bike Party riding around the Boston Marine Industrial Park in South Boston. We stopped our ride for a few minutes around 9 pm, once we noticed fireworks going off to the south, visible from Black Falcon Pier.

They appeared to be coming from Carson Beach, M Street Beach, or somewhere south of there in Dorchester Bay. Do you know anything about them?
