Maybe they didn't want Miley fans to riot until they were outside

Kiss 108 held its annual Jingle Ball this past weekend. And its DJs kept announcing that Miley Cyrus was in the house - up until the moment they announced she wasn't. But they didn't just say she was about to go on stage - they kept lying about her being backstage:
She has a dancer that's like a little person and I accidentally tripped over her and like pushed into Miley. Dude, it was so embarrassing.
Yeah, that would be, especially since she was still in an airport in New Jersey at the time.

and he said that all of the other performers came up before the storm from NY, but apparently Miley waited until later and decided against coming. I suspect she just decided to smoke a bowl and watch the pretty snow fall from her suite in NYC.
My sister went and was more
My sister went and was more disappointed than my 11 year old niece. She said a lot of the acts kept making reference to Miley being there, then as Enrique Iglesias was finishing up confetti and balloons dropped and he quickly mentioned she was stuck in New York.
Almost as bad as when I saw Rihanna at the Garden earlier this year when she showed up three hours late with no opening act. Just a DJ.

She was a tween girl pop sensation a few years ago as Hannah Montana.
Now she's remaking her image to be more adult, and I suppose in one sense she has succeeded beyond her wildest expectations.
