Convertible discovered in middle of Readville pond

Around 7 p.m., a couple of people fishing on Sprague Pond near the Dedham line discovered what turned out to be a convertible sitting in six feet of water about 30 feet offshore.

Boston firefighters dispatched to the scene found the car with two open doors and its top down, but no people or bodies in the car. The BFD dive team was summoned to search around the car; a tow truck was requested to pull the vehicle out.

UPDATE, 8:15 p.m.: Divers found no people or bodies in the area near the car.
