Clarification: Because of a reporting error, an earlier version of this story made reference to signs being confiscated at Fenway Park. The reference has been removed because the Globe could not independently verify that any signs were confiscated at the ballpark. ...

Shaugnessey is a troll and thought he could get away with reporting something negative, to get people riled up.

He really has no redeeming qualities as a sports writer or public figure.

More like John Henry's employees at the Boston Globe could not verify John Henry's employees at Fenway Park were confiscating signs criticizing John Henry's TV station for letting Orsillo go.

Shank is no gem, but he isn't a liar and his journalistic integrity is rarely questioned. Remember that the Globe/sox/Nesn is the same thing, so take anything there with a grain of salt.

That being said, I don't see Henry or Werner calling down and making the decision to ban signs at the park supporting a guy whom everybody loves.

I'm sure a better answer will come out soon as the sox have a bunch of home games left.
