Man charged as Allston groper
Updated with arraignment info.
An Allston man had bail set at $50,000 on charges related to sexual attacks May 4 and last August - including one rape - in the area around his Brighton Avenue apartment, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office and Boston Police report.
Steven Lent, 26, was arrested Friday as he left his apartment. Prosecutors and police say they are investigating his possible connection to other sexual assaults in Allston and Brookline.
Police and the DA's office say Lent attacked a woman around 7:50 p.m. on Aug. 14 on Quint Avenue and then, 40 minutes later attacked and raped another woman at Quint and Brighton avenues.
On May 4 of this year, police and the DA's office say, Lent attacked two women, by coming up behind them, raising their skirts and groping them, both along Brighton Avenue.
Boston University Police provided Boston Police detectives with surveillance video and images that proved instrumental in identifying Lent as the suspect in all four sexual assaults.
Innocent, etc.
