Park in the snow
Beyond some plowing in the main parking lot, the city has left the upper level of Millennium Park untouched, leading to vast expanses of white. You can see where the more intrepid few have fallen through the snow as they try to walk over the path - except for the one prepared person who shushed around on snow shoes.
The snow is now covered in a layer of crunchy ice that can support the lighter among us; even the rest of us, however, will no longer sink more than a foot or so should it give way.
The top of the fence around the soccer fields peeks through the snow:
As for the lower level, down by the Charles River, well, if you like dogs, you'll love the paths there, beaten down under the feet and paws of large numbers of people and their dogs. It's kind of a bucolic scene, as long as you don't look down, because while the overflowing trash barrel near the entrance shows some owners have been picking up after their dogs, the brown on white gives proof that a large number of owners don't give a shit while their pets clearly do.

Thanks
I was wondering if any of the paths up there had been cleared. Great photos.
I'm so sick of the dog owners at Millennium.
Their horrible
no one leashes their mutt and there's shit everywhere.
Fallon Field
The path over to the sledding hill is bracketed by dog crap and of course, pee everywhere. Thanks dog owners - it's just the most accessible sledding hill for kids in the neighborhood - I'm sure your dog crap will also be appreciated by the folks who use the baseball fields as well when it all melts too.
