Smoke in tunnel shuts Blue Line

UPDATE, 5:25 p.m. BFD gave the MBTA the OK to resume service.

Boston firefighters are currently investigating what caused smoke in the Maverick Blue Line station shortly before 5 p.m. Trains in both directions are halted - except for one empty train that firefighters are riding from Maverick to Aquarium to look for the source of the smoke, possibly the third rail.

"Flatulence-Like" Tunnel Odor At Aquarium Station

I've recently noticed a distinctive "flatulence-like" odor inside Blue Line trains, right after coming through the tunnel and stopping at Aquarium Station.

At first, I imagined it was someone who got on at Maverick. However, since the exact same odor always occurs at the same place on every train, I now suspect it's coming from something like a leaky sewer vent.

Alas, with so many other things about the Ⓣ that stink, I doubt anyone cares about fixing a smelly tunnel.

The Green Line in the summer during a red sox game otherwise known as the BO Express
Back Bay carbon monoxide platforms
The red line filled with trash and cheap booze bottles
South Station smells like an open sewer.
The orange line smells of wet paint from vandals
Can a person get a medical prescription for pot to get rid of the smell and make the ride more pleasant?

The Comintern wishes to shut down transportation in Boston so they can slowly take control of our daily lives!

It's a trap!

By inducing smells, they make us all not want to take public transit! The few who do are suggested to take pot so they become high and become less useful to the city!

They're weakening us! We can't let it happen!
