Belle Isle Marsh body identified as that of East Boston teen

The body found in Belle Isle Marsh near the Suffolk Downs T stop on Friday has been identified as a 16-year-old East Boston boy reported missing on Nov. 13, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The DA's office did not disclose his name, because the state medical examiner's office has yet to rule on the cause of death.

While visitors to the reservation are advised to remain alert and aware of their surroundings, authorities said the young man's death does not appear to be connected with random violence or an ongoing threat to public safety.
