Boston Restaurant Talk reports one of the co-owners of James's Gate is looking at moving into the equally deceased Coco's Lounge on Washington Street with a new place called the Gate.
I've been sorely missing the Gate for quite a while, and Egleston is even closer to my house. I once had the dubious pleasure of visiting the Old Stag and this will surely be an upgrade.
Hey, I've love for the James' Gate to come back, but I'd also like an explanation for why they closed so unexpectedly. That was a pretty crappy thing to do to the neighborhood, and it was especially horrible for the employees, who had no clue they were about to be out of a job.
this is why no one should frequent such a place if it does open up again!!!
