Ya not surprising.. the wind really has picked up out there. Glad I'm done with all my errands now until the weekend. Brrr
And.. wasn't the T going to do some tree trimming this weekend anyways? (I think I got a notice for that). Well.. seems like Mother Nature may help out with that.
Yes, they have been cutting for several days
There is a big pile of logs at the Riverside parking lot. I speculate that today's mess was fixed relatively quickly because they still had the big equipment nearby, also parked in the Riverside parking lot.

I hope that Newton Fire and Police shut down the D Line till it is safe to transit passengers.

They are now bussing between Reservoir and Newton Highlands because of the tree.

The MBTA had schedule tree removal work for the past two weeks removing almost 600 trees between Newton and Brookline. There is a lot of "standing firewood", meaning trees that fell over and are just leaning dead on other trees. It's just plain negligence on behalf of the MBTA.
