The governance of MA would be vastly improved by something better than our current Winthrop based hegemony.

With national politics, a third party emerging on the center left would simply ensure GOP/Tea Party rule (see Nader, Ralph) but here it would only increase accountability and openness.

Luther 'Scott' Harshbarger and "good governance" do not belong in the same sentence.

He was the first AG to decide grabbing power by end running around the legislature to legislate through regulation and routinely stonewalling FOIA requests was a-ok. Heck of a guy for transparency, checks & balances, and democracy I THINK NOT
