Police and the owners of Cleopatra and Caesar are pleading for their return after they were taken from a home on Summer Street Tuesday evening.
Their owners write:
These precious dogs were stolen from our house on Tuesday, January 19 between 6-7:30pm. They are Black and White Pomeranians ages 3 & 4. Cleopatra and Caesar are so dear to our hearts. They are our only love as we do not have any children. Please be on the look out and contact us ASAP if you know anything.
Anybody who knows where they are can contact Somerville Police at 617-625-1600.

Unfortunately dog microchips are not GPS tracker devices which need built-in GPS receivers to pinpoint position from the GPS satellite system; and cellular radio transmitters to transmit location data to a server using a cellular provider's network. This means that they require a SIM card and cellular service in order to work.
Dog microchips, by contrast, are the size of a grain of rice and function like the barcode on an item on the grocery store when it is scanned at the register. The scanner just decodes the information stored in the barcode or the microchip. For a dog this means it reads its name, owner's name and contact information. So if someone finds the dog they can contact the humans with that info.
