Finally: A chance to experience what it's like to be a French fry under warming lights

They've turned on these red ceiling lights over the atrium in Boston City Hall, and as I type this post at a table there, my laptop keyboard is bathed in red light and I keep wondering when it will burst into flames.

Take another look at the lights
Taken together, don't they resemble something? Perhaps akin to something that was very much on display on the Common over the week-end.
Yes, that is true
But who looks up inside City Hall? All it does is make bald men walking up the stairs look like they've got a painful sunburn on their scalps.
Are they heat lamps?
Or are they just red lights? The color red doesn't make things any hotter than white light. If they aren't IR heat lamps, you're not going to cook.
