Fire injures four residents, one firefighter in East Boston

Boston firefighters responded around 12:45 p.m. to 238 Havre St. for what turned into a four-alarm fire that caused an estimated $1.2 million damage, sent a firefighter to the hospital with burns and four residents to the hospital with injuries not considered life threatening.

The Boston Fire Department ordered firefighters off the roof and third floor at the height of the fire.

A total of 21 residents were displaced, BFD reports.

ive been listening to this for an hour now and it sounds like a mess. maybe a good time to tip our caps to the men and women of the boston fire department and all the great work they do. not an easy job.
