The million-dolllar question
The million-dolllar question is whether the state will pursue cancelling their pensions.
Pensions!
Absolutely. Criminal conduct on the job. Strip their pensions!
If not these dirtbags will "retire" and collect like 50k plus a year on us.
Bullshit
They better
No pensions....
Keep electing incumbents!
They take care of the status quo !
And the Rich !!
Maura Healey is my hero! No indictments by a state agency, only the Feds understand the corruption we suffer from..I mean that we take advantage of...in this state.
Don't forget about those workers at the BPL who did the same thing and have had it swept under the rug :)))

Healey's AG office indicted 3
Healey's AG office indicted 3 troopers in September.
But wait! I thought the real
But wait! I thought the real turnpike freeloaders were those greedy toll-takers! That's what I read in the Herald! Howie Carr, you're my only hope!
Greedy Bastards
Look at the base pay, they are not underpaid, and they need to steal more? I wonder how long and by how many troopers this practice has been going on.
Just a guess
1) Forever
2) All of them, Katie
Did you barely graduate high
Did you barely graduate high school? Do you lack skills, education and experience? Can you almost do one pull up? Are you racist? Do you like to bully people because your mommy didn't love you?
Then join the Massachusetts State Police! Because no one else would pay your worthless ass 200K per year!
Also
"Are you still bitter that the Marines wouldn't take you?"
Bad Staties
This level of corruption could only have happened with the knowledge of the top brass. Going after one troop is cute but ineffective. There needs to be jail time.
And who's going to take the risk
of hanging their ass out in the breeze on this, and piss off the police union? You think they'll be rewarded by voters more than it'll gin up law enforcement opposition?
I think if you explain that
I think if you explain that cops were stealing million from the voters themselves then I don't see how thats a big risk. Who cares if dirty cops throw a fit? Let those babies throw a tantrum. They complain either way so may as well hold them accountable and toss some of the more crooked ones in jail.
oh right
And who's going to stand next to construction sites while traffic backs up in all directions - I suppose the eggheads at MIT are supposed to invent some sort of "bright orange cone" or some futuristic device like that
49 other states
...use flaggers for that.
People who have signs that say STOP and SLOW and all that.
That's the Joke

Tell that to someone with power
n/t
Probably not one trooper who cares if these guys go to jail.....
And I'd bet my life that the top brass never knew any of this was going on. These guys issue about 100K citations a year of something like that. What they were doing was pulling over cars on their regular shift and then mailing them to the drivers and putting the time on the citation that would reflect that the citations were issued during the OT shift. That's pretty much impossible to check unless you were really looking for it.
And these troopers got caught because other troopers ratted them out. The same way the other Boston Detective Supervisors got caught. So the rank and file or the top brass do not care one bit what happens to cops in cases like this. The union has to, that is what they get paid for and that is their job.
Where's Fish
Funny how he won't post on the many, many, many posts about how spectacularly corrupt the State Poiice - allegedly the best of the best of MA law enforcement - is.
