China Pearl, 9 Tyler St., got a formal warning yesterday not to allow any more pot-infused meals, at least not while such things are still banned in Boston.
The Boston Licensing Board issued the warning after a hearing on Tuesday at which the restaurant's owners acknowledged they let a caterer use one of their floors for a 4/20 event at which diners could have, at minimum, CBD oil sprinkled on their servings of roast pork. The formal warning goes into the restaurant's file and could mean a more severe punishment - including having their license suspended - should they be found doing it again.
CBD is a marijuana-derived product that does not get one high; police had gone to the restaurant on April 20 after hearing that caterer Sam Kanter would let diners have THC, the stuff that does get people high, sprinkled on their food.
