Delays leave Revere commuters feeling Blue; Red Line riders are pretty unhappy, too
A sudden need for repairs to one of the overhead power lines at Revere Beach led to delays of up to ten minutes on the Blue Line this morning, the MBTA reports - although one rider says the delay was more like 30 minutes.
Red Line riders, meanwhile, report ongoing delays stemming from last week's JFK/UMass derailment have some going past the breaking point.
David Weininger reports:
Just saw one passenger shove another hard, in a way that bordered on assault, while getting off the MBTA at Kendall. Couldn’t tell what the dispute was but the overcrowding on the Red Line was def a factor. Someone’s going to get hurt before this is over.
Abigail Smith reports:
First morning trying the MBTA commute since the derailment has been a total disaster. Train has gone 2 stops in a half hour span & an elderly gentleman fainted on the train due to the heat and 0 medical personell have checked on him despite hitting emergency assistance.

Sunday Punday
Take the T to the new casino has to be the best pun of the week.
Well In Any Event
Obviously the MBTA needs a complete overhaul with all the problems of late , i would love to know how they can afford to have a half dozen MBTA undercover police officers at Andrew station 7 days a week making sure they bust every $2 fare jumper when the infrastructure and trains are collapsing by the dozen!!!
