Delays on the Orange Line; one train's doors are less than fine
By adamg on Mon, 07/29/2019 - 7:58am
The MBTA is reporting delays of up to 15 minutes on the Orange Line towards Forest Hills due to a train with a "door problem" at Haymarket.

Same problem at Forest Hills, dead train. Then I finally do get on a working train, this person of questionable mental ability is blaring music.
T-TROUBLES
When Billy Bulger ran the MBTA it was rife with corruption but at least it worked. He filled his patronage jobs with track workers, train drivers and laborers who got the job done even if they didn't work a full forty hours a week.
Charlie Baker's version of the MBTA is not rife with corruption but incompetence. He has filled his patronage jobs with overpaid pencil pushing consultants who need a title, a take home vehicle and an office at Park Plaza where they do nothing but do it well.
Maybe Charlie Baker ...
needs a brother who can have any MBTA slackers whacked?
Different excuse, still delayed
MBTA made announcements that that Orange Line was running with at least 10 minute delays due to a signal problem at Oak Grove.
It took an hour for me to get from Forest Hills to North Station, with lots of standing by at each station with the doors open.
I heard "signal problems" too
Then the brakes seemingly went on my train before it left Forest Hills, pushing all of us across the platform to thankfully a waiting, but quickly filled, train.
On my commute downtown from
On my commute downtown from Forest Hills this morning I heard not one, but three different reasons for our delay. We managed to get as far as Green Street before waiting for several minutes due to "police activity" a couple of stations down the track. Then there was a door problem, and finally a signal problem (or vice versa). Maybe we need to start playing MBTA Fail bingo.
Things were running OK around
Things were running OK around 10:45am, but the driver of my train was blowing the horn when entering each station. Not sure what that means.
