We ate there about a month ago for the first time, and planned to go back. The grilled chicken is some of the best I've eaten in the area, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. I hope they find employment, and that the restaurant comes back.
Pollo Compero Addiction
Before this location opened, there were several bodegas around that would literally next-day FedEx boxes of Pollo Compero from Guatemala and El Salvador and sell them like takeout the next day. Such is the mania for Pollo Compero chicken. When this place first opened, it was like the Beatles coming to America. The street had to be closed to accommodate the mobs of people. This is going to hit la communidad hard.
