Firefighter injured in two-alarm South End fire

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 321 Columbus Ave., near Dartmouth Street, around 1:10 a.m. for what turned into a two-alarm fire.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital during the fire on the fifth floor, but his injuries are not considered life threatening, the department says.

The department estimates damage at $100,000 and says the cause is under investigation.
