I am pretty sure any media outlet is not held accountable for any misleading advertising. Why would you assume that it's the Globe's fault that you were hosed on a mattress sale? By the way, which company was it? You could at least name and shame them.

Most businesses are not news media outlets whose leadership consistently pretends to value "transparency" and "public trust", calls out other institutions for not practicing these values, but within their own ranks, not so much.
The same way Henry trashed Terry Francona, Manny Ramirez etc.

This is what the Henry's do. It would have been sad but understandable if Terry Francona was fired after the disastrous end to the 2011, going from first place on September 1 to third and out of the playoffs. Instead, the Sox decided to pile on with rumors of prescription painkiller abuse by Francona (the medication was prescribed and approved by Red Sox doctors) and alleged problems in his 30 year marriage. No need for that when a simple, "Thank you for all you have accomplished here but we have decided to go in a different direction" would have been just fine. The organization attempted to destroy the man, just as this advertising executive's career will be destroyed when his name comes out.
With his PED suspensions and quirky antics, Manny Ramirez (12 All-Star games, 1 World Series MVP) is perhaps a less likable figure than Francona but his character was needlessly destroyed by the team on the way out when a simple "thank you for everything but we believe it's time for a trade" would have been sufficient. Why would we expect anything different when Henry(s) are behind the Globe's curtain?
