Red Line rails north of Harvard are whack, trains to Alewife can't go clickity clack

Update, 10:47 p.m. Problem fixed, normal service resumed.
The MBTA reports "a track issue" on the outbound side is forcing Alewife trains to halt at Harvard, so riders have to detrain, then go upstairs, where a shuttle train is running on what are normally the inbound tracks between Harvard and Alewife (the reverse then holds for people from the north trying to get into Boston).

Astonishingly disfunctional!
Must be because this is the first time the temperature has ever dropped below freezing in January. Just wow.
The MBTA is deep in a hole on deferred maintenance.
Poftak to the rescue
Fingers crossed
