Dorchester pastor gets 4 to 5 for selling drugs out of his home and the church his mother started

Willie Wilkerson, 62, pleaded guilty yesterday to cocaine trafficking and illegal possession of ammunition and was promptly sentenced to four to five years in state prison, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Today's plea and sentencing came in Suffolk Superior Court following his indictment there. Wilkerson had pleaded guilty in Roxbury District Court following his 2017 arrest on charges he sold cocaine and oxycodone out his home and the Quincy Street Missional Church, where he was pastor. Undercover Boston officers made a series of buys from him at the church, at a food truck on the church grounds and at his home.

When he was arrested in May of that year, officers with a search warrant found approximately 30 grams of cocaine, 45 oxycodone pills, 9 grams of fentanyl, 73 grams of Buprenorphine and approximately 32 Clonozapam tablets at his home, the DA's office reports.

Wilkerson's mother, Idene "Ma Siss" Wilkerson, founded the church and helped turn a former auto chop shop on Quincy Street into a church, food bank and thrift shop with $70,000 she raised, in part by mortgaging a house she owned.

Sure you can hate the game but there is so much cocaine distributed around the world for the millions who crave it and keep doing it. Nobody will ever stop the trafficking of coke.

Churches aren't supposed to be, you know, drug dealing. It's bastards like this that are selling out the community.

More like back stabbers.
I don't care, who he is or what he is, send him to Jail.
His mother seems to be a decent person, I wish there was more people like her.

I knew (slightly) some of the people from this church. When Ma Siss and Ma Fann were there, good things were happening. Unfortunately, when Ma Siss died, things began to fall apart. I don't know if WW was clean at the time he was made pastor and since fell back into using/dealing, or if he was fooling everyone all along. What a shame.

The Globe did a multi-part series about this church in 2007:
