Massachusetts hits 10,000 coronavirus deaths

With 21 new Covid-19 deaths reported today, Massachusetts today reached a total of 10,000 deaths from the virus since the pandemic hit us back in February.

The average number of deaths from the virus each day remains far below the peak we saw in May, even as the daily number of new cases rose above 2,400 for the second day in a row, a number not seen since late April. Hospitalizations continue to rise as well.
