High carbon-monoxide levels bring firefighters to Verizon facility in Post Office Square

Boston firefighters responded to 185 Franklin St. tonight to deal with high CO readings in a Verizon battery room on the lower level of 185 Franklin St., which once was entirely occupied by Verizon.

I remember back in the Good 'Ol Days when that was New England Telephone, part of the Ma Bell network.

This is the old New England Telephone building. Great art deco design. I love looking up at it as I head to the garage under PO Square whenever I need to park downtown.
