Half-naked man sought as Polish American Club flag thief

Boston Police have released photos of the man they say vandalized the flagpole at the Polish American Club, 82 Boston St. in Dorchester and fled with the American flag that had been flying on it, around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday.

If he looks familiar, contact 911 or the anonymous tip line by calling 800-494-TIPS or by texting TIP to CRIME (27463).

I care that this guy desecrated the flag of this country. But we can look at this from another perspective.
Do you think it's alright to damage and destroy somebody else's property? Would you want this sort of thing done to you and something you own?

I wonder if someone took them with a camera rather than the usual surveillance camera pics.

Also, the one shown above is very evocative. Before I read the caption, I imagined a very different scenario. He looks like he is using the flag to hold himself up. It seemed to me to suggest something about poverty, American ideals and society’s responsibilities.
